Meghan Markle’s Father ARRESTED

Thomas Markle, the father of Meghan Markle, was taken into custody in Florida, according to a law enforcement source.

The arrest stems from accusations of possessing child sexual abuse material.

His son, Thomas Markle Jr., previously reported discovering large quantities of such images while clearing out boxes at the father’s former residence in Cebu, Philippines.

Markle Jr. indicated he notified authorities in the Philippines and reached out to the FBI regarding the findings.

Meghan Markle addressed the developing situation in a public statement.

“I am deeply distressed at the news that has come to light in the last 24 hours, and my thoughts are with any children who may have been harmed,” she stated.

She referenced a 2018 letter sent to the Metropolitan Police and Royalty and Specialist Protection that contained troubling allegations against her father, which she said was shared with her and under investigation.

“I hope it can now be understood that, despite certain media publications’ distortion over the years, any distance from my father and my choice to not allow him to have contact with our children, was for one reason: to protect them,” the statement continued.

She added that she trusted authorities to safeguard other families as well.

“Although the breadth of what has now been uncovered is more sickening than one could ever imagine, my sincerest hope is that justice will be fully served and that the priority remains the safety and protection of innocent children,” Markle concluded.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed receiving a letter in January 2019 with claims about alleged offending outside the United Kingdom.

The case involves international elements linking the Philippines discoveries to the U.S. arrest.

Details on the specific charges or evidence presented remain limited beyond the reported CSAM possession connection.

Meghan’s response emphasized protection of children as the core priority amid the revelations.

The Associated Press contributed to the initial reporting on the arrest.
