Leavitt became a frequent public defender of Trump and his political agenda. After Trump returned to office, Leavitt received the biggest role of her career. She was selected to serve as White House press secretary in Trump’s second administration.
Leavitt began serving in the position in January 2025. At 27 years old when she took the role, she became the youngest White House press secretary in American history. The position made Leavitt one of the administration’s most recognizable public figures.
