Conservative Smokeshow of the Day

Some of my favorite childhood memories involve church activities. Vacation Bible School was basically the highlight of my summers, and I loved the Christmas programs, youth retreats, and Wednesday night gatherings. As I got older, I started volunteering with younger children during Sunday services. I liked helping them memorize Scripture, organize crafts, and learn songs. At the time, I didn't realize how much those experiences were shaping me, but they gave me a real appreciation for community, service, and the importance of having people around you who share your values.
My parents were politically conservative, although politics wasn't the only thing we talked about around the dinner table. My father was particularly passionate about the Constitution, the Second Amendment, and the importance of limited government. He believed people should have the freedom to build businesses, raise their families, and make decisions without unnecessary interference from Washington. My mother approached politics from a slightly different perspective, focusing more on religious liberty, parental involvement in education, and protecting the values she believed helped families thrive.
