Conservative Smokeshow of the Day

Interestingly, my growing faith also influenced how I thought about politics. I began thinking more seriously about the importance of family, religious freedom, protecting human life, and the responsibilities we have toward one another. Some of those beliefs aligned closely with the conservative ideas I had been exploring.

I also learned that being Christian and being conservative aren't exactly the same thing. My faith comes first, and I don't believe any political party has a monopoly on morality. There are good people with different political beliefs, and I think Christians should be careful about treating politics like a substitute for their relationship with God.
