Trump Chief of Staff Announces Cancer Update

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles said she is cancer free, six months after an early-stage breast cancer diagnosis became public.

“Some personal news I’m grateful to share,” she wrote after a Mayo Clinic appointment. “After a medical appointment at the Mayo Clinic this week, my pathology results came back clear. I am cancer free.”

President Trump disclosed the diagnosis in March, saying it was caught early, the prognosis was excellent, and she planned to keep working while in treatment.

Wiles stayed on the job throughout. She thanked family, friends, her medical team, and people who prayed for her.

“A special thank you to President Trump for his unwavering support,” she added. “I am deeply grateful and will continue to work to advance his America First Agenda.”

Wiles is the first woman to serve as White House chief of staff. She ran a central piece of Trump’s 2024 campaign before taking the West Wing post.

She later confirmed the diagnosis herself and said doctors found the cancer early. Wednesday’s pathology report, she said, showed no evidence of cancer in the tissue examined.

She said she intends to stay focused on the chief of staff role after the clear results.
