Ex-Fox News Producer Jennifer Eckhart Dead at 36

Former Fox Business producer Jennifer Eckhart has died at age 36, according to authorities in Florida. Eckhart was found dead Friday at her home in Martin County. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said investigators believe her death was a suicide.

Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances, and no public statement from her family had been reported as of Monday. Eckhart spent several years working for Fox News Media after joining the company in 2013.

She later became an associate producer for Fox Business Network, where she worked behind the scenes while also making appearances on Fox Business and Fox Nation programming.

After leaving the company in 2020, Eckhart moved into independent media and launched “REINVENTED with Jen Eckhart.”

The podcast focused on people who had overcome significant personal or professional challenges and featured guests from entertainment, sports and business.

Eckhart also founded The Reinvented Project, a nonprofit that promoted animal-assisted therapy for people recovering from traumatic experiences.

Her public profile grew significantly in 2020 after she filed a federal lawsuit against former Fox News anchor Ed Henry.

Eckhart accused Henry of sexually assaulting her while the two worked for the network.

Henry denied the allegations and maintained that their relationship had been consensual.

Fox News fired Henry in July 2020 after receiving a complaint involving alleged sexual misconduct and conducting an internal investigation.

The litigation continued for several years. In March 2025, a federal judge dismissed Fox News from the case after finding that the evidence did not establish that the company knew about Henry’s alleged conduct toward Eckhart while it was occurring.

Other claims against Henry were allowed to proceed, including allegations involving assault, battery, harassment, sex trafficking and gender-motivated violence.

The dispute appeared headed for a civil trial before Eckhart and Henry reached a settlement in June 2025.

The terms of the settlement were not publicly disclosed, and Henry did not admit wrongdoing as part of the reported resolution.

Following the settlement, Eckhart spoke about the emotional toll of the legal battle and said she had attempted to use her experience to support other survivors.

“I turned pain into purpose,” Eckhart told People. She continued producing her podcast and promoting survivor advocacy after the case ended.

Eckhart’s death remains under investigation, and authorities have not announced when additional findings may be released.
