Fox News’ Sean Hannity Pitches Karoline Leavitt as New Host

Former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is leaving the door open to a possible future in television after Sean Hannity suggested she could host her own Fox News program.

Leavitt appeared on Hannity’s prime-time show Thursday, where the longtime Fox News host raised the idea near the end of their conversation. Fox has not announced a show or employment agreement involving Leavitt.

Hannity even proposed a potential title for the program: “The Briefing with Karoline Leavitt.”

“Well, congratulations on your two beautiful children. I saw pictures of them recently, and I know you’re happy. I know it was a hard decision. We’ll talk about it on the podcast next week. How does it sound: The Briefing with Karoline Leavitt? How do you like the sound of that?” Hannity asked.

Leavitt stopped short of saying she was pursuing her own show, but she made clear that viewers can expect to see her continue appearing with Hannity.

“Well, Sean, we have had our segment before, you and me. I will continue to join your show anytime you want, that’s for sure. But thank you. My babies are cute, I will say so myself,” Leavitt responded.

“Congratulations,” Hannity replied.

Leavitt officially completed her final day as White House press secretary on Aug. 27 after deciding to leave the demanding role and spend more time with her family. She became the youngest person ever to serve as White House press secretary.

She described her departure as a “bittersweet decision” and has remained connected to President Donald Trump’s political operation following her exit from the administration.

Leavitt confirmed that she would return to MAGA Inc., the Trump-aligned super PAC where she previously worked, although she did not initially provide details about her new responsibilities.

A transition from the White House briefing room to Fox News would not be unprecedented. Former press secretaries Dana Perino and Kayleigh McEnany both later took prominent roles at the network.

Perino served under President George W. Bush before eventually becoming a co-host of “The Five” and co-anchor of “America’s Newsroom.” McEnany, who served during Trump’s first term, joined Fox News after leaving the administration and later became a co-host of “Outnumbered.”

For now, Hannity’s suggestion remains just that. Fox News has not announced that Leavitt will receive her own program, and Leavitt did not confirm that such a deal is in the works.

Still, Hannity’s public pitch has added speculation about what could be next for the former White House press secretary as she begins the next phase of her career.
