Leaked X-Rated BDSM Photos Put Democrat Under Fire

A Democratic congressional candidate in New York is facing scrutiny after explicit photographs from his past resurfaced during his campaign for Congress. Chris Gallant, 37, is the Democratic nominee challenging Republican Rep. Nick LaLota in New York’s 1st Congressional District.

Gallant’s attorney, Sara Azari, confirmed that the photographs are authentic but said they came from a consensual photo shoot involving Gallant and a former partner. “The photographs are authentic and were taken during a private, consensual photo session involving Chris and his then-partner, with whom he was in a committed four-year relationship,” Azari said.

Please note: We are not publishing all of the photographs because they are disturbing and sexually explicit. They show Gallant modeling fetish and bondage-related products associated with San Francisco retailer Mr. S Leather. Azari said Gallant was also friends with the owner of Mr. S Leather and understood that selected photographs could be used to promote some of the company’s products.

“Chris was also friends with the owner of Mr. S Leather, and the shoot was intended to be fun and personal, with the understanding that Mr. S could use select images in connection with certain products,” she said.

Archived versions of the retailer’s website indicate that photographs involving Gallant appeared online between approximately 2011 and 2020.

According to his attorney, Gallant later requested that the retailer remove the photographs after he began considering a career in public office.

“As Chris began considering a future in public service, he asked that the photographs no longer be used and that they be removed from the company’s website. Mr. S honored his request,” Azari said.

Other images reportedly later appeared on adult websites that were not affiliated with Mr. S Leather. Gallant’s attorney said he had not authorized third parties to distribute the material and that his agreement with the retailer was “never intended to authorize unrestricted publication.”

Gallant has served in the Army National Guard since 2006 and is a Black Hawk helicopter pilot. His professional background also includes work as a volunteer firefighter, FAA air traffic controller and union leader.

His legal team has rejected efforts to portray the resurfaced photographs as relevant to his congressional campaign.

“He will not allow photographs from a past relationship or employment to be distorted and weaponized for political purposes or used to distract voters from the issues that matter,” Azari said.

“These photographs have no bearing on Chris’s record, qualifications, judgment, or ability to serve,” she added. “He remains fully committed to his campaign and to earning the trust of the people he seeks to represent.”

Gallant secured the Democratic nomination after defeating Lukas Ventouras in the June primary. He is now running against LaLota, who currently represents New York’s 1st Congressional District.
