Kai Trump Shares Encouraging Update on Mother Vanessa’s Cancer Recovery

Kai Trump offered a positive progress report on her mother Vanessa Trump’s ongoing battle with breast cancer while attending the ESPY Awards and appearing on television.

“My mom’s doing good,” the 19-year-old told reporters on the red carpet. “She’s doing better.”

On “Fox & Friends” the following day she elaborated: “Obviously, radiation takes a toll on your body, but she’s doing better and feeling better. She’s been a little tired, but yeah — she’s a fighter.”

Vanessa announced her diagnosis in May and later revealed she had undergone surgery. She described recovering over several weeks and preparing for the next stage of treatment while expressing gratitude for family support.

Kai, who is headed to the University of Miami to play golf, also shared advice she receives from her grandfather, President Trump—“Enjoy every moment of it”—and from Tiger Woods, who is dating Vanessa: “Be yourself, trust the process.”

Those close to the family said Woods has remained supportive throughout the treatment process. Vanessa and Donald Trump Jr. share five children from their earlier marriage.
