Intelligence Assessment Warns Iran Unlikely to Yield Despite Heavy U.S. Strikes

A U.S. intelligence assessment circulating this week concludes that Iran is unlikely to make meaningful concessions even after sustained American military pressure and rising casualties on both sides.

The warning arrived as the White House postponed a dignified transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base for two soldiers killed in an Iranian attack in Jordan. The remains of 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan and Pvt. Isabella Gonzales had not yet arrived. A third service member, Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, died during the controlled detonation of a downed Iranian drone in Iraq.

American deaths in the current phase of fighting have reached 18, with nearly 100 troops injured in the past two weeks. Broader figures put total U.S. wounded since February above 400.

Analysts told reporters that Washington and Tehran remain locked in a dangerous gray zone. Critical munitions stocks are tightening, and Iran has escalated threats against U.S. leaders while expanding attacks on Gulf infrastructure.

Both sides have signaled openness to talks, yet no breakthrough has occurred. The assessment suggested the conflict could continue far longer than hoped as the regime absorbs strikes and leans on proxies.
