FBI Raids Home Of Correspondents’ Dinner Gunman

TORRANCE, Calif. — Federal agents executed a search warrant Saturday evening into Sunday at the Torrance residence of Cole Tomas Allen, the 31-year-old man arrested in the armed attack at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in Washington, D.C.

FBI agents, working with local police, cordoned off the modest two-story home as news crews and neighbors gathered and police helicopters circled overhead.

A federal spokesperson confirmed the raid was part of the ongoing investigation into the incident.

Allen was taken into custody at the Washington Hilton after charging a Secret Service checkpoint armed with a shotgun, handgun, and knives. He fired at least one shot, striking an agent whose vest deflected the bullet.

He faces preliminary federal charges including using a firearm in a crime of violence and assault on a federal officer. Officials say he acted alone.
