Dramatic video captured the moment President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were rapidly evacuated from the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner at the Washington Hilton on Saturday night following an armed attack at a Secret Service checkpoint.

As shots rang out shortly after 8:40 p.m., agents swiftly escorted Trump and senior officials out of the ballroom where thousands were gathered. The president was removed from the venue within moments of the incident.

The evacuation occurred after suspect Cole Tomas Allen, 31, charged the checkpoint armed with multiple weapons and fired at least one shot, wounding a Secret Service agent. Allen was subdued and taken into custody.
