Ex-Trump Press Sec Reveals New Job

Karoline Leavitt’s first public project after leaving the White House is not a network contract. It is a house renovation in Florida.

The former press secretary, 29, posted photos of the property she shares with her husband, real estate developer Nicholas Riccio, and asked followers whether they wanted to watch the work.

“We are renovating our place in Florida. Would you like to follow along?” she wrote, attaching a yes-or-no poll.

She offered another hint while answering questions about a stroller. “So many questions about our double stroller! I love the Nuna, but we needed another stroller for our Florida home,” she wrote over a photo of two-year-old Niko and four-month-old Viviana.

The family does not plan to live there year-round. “I ordered this on Amazon since we will only be here for a few months of the year, and it’s less expensive,” she added.

Leavitt and Riccio still treat New Hampshire as home. They met there in 2022 while she was running for Congress. Riccio works in real estate and holds a portfolio of properties.

She left the West Wing at the end of August after serving as the youngest White House press secretary in U.S. history. She said the job had become hard to balance with two young children.

In her last official interview in the role, she called the exit bittersweet. “It’s bitter because I’m leaving a job that I love so very much, and it’s been the honor and blessing of a lifetime to work for this president, President Trump. There will never be another like him and to serve as his spokesperson behind that podium. It has been the adventure of a lifetime.”

On her children, she said, “They’re just at a critical time in their life when they need their mom home a little bit more.”

She has not left Trump’s circle. The president said in August she would remain an outside adviser. Leavitt has also said she plans to return to MAGA Inc., the Trump-aligned super PAC where she previously worked as a spokeswoman.

For now the public feed is family and construction. “Living our best life,” she wrote Saturday next to a pool photo of the children.
