Disney Caught Protecting Dem’s Trans Agenda

Disney-owned streaming services have restricted Republican Senate ads that attack Democrats over transgender policy and crime, according to records reviewed by Breitbart News. The Senate Leadership Fund says the company’s TV-MA label is keeping most of those spots off screens that other platforms still allow.

The group reports that at least two-thirds of its Ohio ads aimed at voters have been boxed into a mature-audience rating. The same treatment has hit ads in Alaska and North Carolina, three states where the fund has committed tens of millions of dollars.

Disney is the only major streaming company using that rating to keep the ads away from a general audience, SLF said. The result, the group argues, is millions of lost impressions and ads that never reach tens of thousands, and possibly hundreds of thousands, of subscribers.

Connected television is one of the fastest-growing slices of political advertising. AdImpact projected that CTV spending in the 2026 cycle would pass $2.5 billion. Disney sits behind only YouTube as a streaming destination for political buyers.

Ohio is the biggest example. SLF budgeted at least $3.6 million through Election Day to help defeat former Sen. Sherrod Brown. Disney’s rules have cut that plan to less than $100,000 a week, and less than $40,000 on Hulu. The group says that is more than $2.6 million in planned spending it cannot place as intended.

The two Ohio spots both cite Brown’s record on medical treatments for minors who identify as transgender. SLF posted the ads on YouTube after they were limited on Disney platforms.

In North Carolina, a single ad narrated by the father of a murdered college-age woman has been blocked from airing on 75 percent of Hulu programs, the fund said. That spot is built around crime, not the transgender issue, but it has been treated the same way.

An SLF spokesperson said Democrats spending similar amounts in those states would reach three times as many voters on the second-largest streaming platform. A person familiar with the group’s buys called it “preferential treatment towards Democrats by woke corporations like Disney.”

The fund says the policy appears aimed at “culture war” ads from Republican-aligned groups rather than political advertising as a whole. Other streamers have not applied the same mature-audience lock.

Disney has not issued a detailed public reply in the Breitbart account. The practical effect, SLF argues, is that voters on Hulu and other Disney apps see a narrower set of Senate messages than voters on YouTube.
