Country Singer Powers Through On-Stage Wardrobe Failure in Driving Rain

Rising country star Ella Langley turned a potentially disastrous wardrobe malfunction into a memorable moment during her opening set for Morgan Wallen’s tour in Baltimore.

Just minutes into her performance at M&T Bank Stadium, the zipper on her sparkling pink fringe dress failed completely. Rather than leave the stage, the 27-year-old quickly pulled on a Baltimore Ravens jersey, grabbed her guitar, and continued performing through heavy rain.

Langley later described the incident on Instagram: “Yesterday, my entire dress came unzipped on song #2 in a 60-minute set in the pouring down rain in a stadium full of people.”

Videos of the quick recovery circulated widely. Former Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan praised her, writing that she “had Baltimore in the palm of her hand” and declaring himself “officially an Ella Fella.”

The mishap did little to slow her momentum. Her hit “Choosing Texas” remained atop the Billboard Hot 100 for a 14th week, tying historic runs by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston for the longest No. 1 by a solo female artist without a male collaborator.

Langley’s composure under pressure only added to her growing reputation as a resilient and engaging live performer.
