Barron Trump Threat Triggers Secret Service Response

The U.S. Secret Service says it is investigating a video aired by Iranian state media that singles out Barron Trump, the 20-year-old son of President Donald Trump.

The segment ran on IRIB, the state broadcaster whose leadership is appointed by Iran’s supreme leader, and was also reported on IRGC-linked Channel 3. It opens with an English graphic: “Where to kill Barron Trump?!”

The nearly three-minute clip labels Barron a “target,” claims he is “fully monitored,” and cites a $10 million bounty. Graphics pointed to places he is publicly known to spend time, including Trump Tower in New York and a Washington address tied to NYU’s Constance Milstein & Family Global Academic Center.

Secret Service spokesman Nate Herring said: “The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees.”

He added: “Out of concern for operational security, we do not discuss matters of protective intelligence.”

The Jerusalem Post and New York Post said they could not independently find the original clip on Channel 3’s official platforms or verify the surveillance claims, account details, or bounty figure.

This is the first time Barron has been publicly singled out this way. Iranian outlets previously targeted First Lady Melania Trump with similar material, including a video titled “Where to Kill Melania?” that ended with a reference to Barron.

A federal law-enforcement source told CNN the latest clip fits a broader Iranian content campaign against the president and his family, some of it including movement details.

The Service treats perceived threats against protectees as investigative matters. It did not describe any change in Barron’s security posture.
