Colin Kaepernick Shredded Online After Making Absurd Statement

via Sky Sports

Colin Kaepernick, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback who has not played in the NFL for seven seasons, remains hopeful for a comeback.

He expressed his desire to return to the league during an interview with Sky Sports, stating that he is still training and believes he can contribute significantly to a team.

“We’re still training, still pushing,” Kaepernick said. “So hopefully. We’ve just got to get one of these team owners to open up.”

“I mean, it’s something I’ve trained my whole life for,” he said. “So to be able to step back on the field would be a major moment, a major accomplishment for me. Also, I think it’s something that I could bring a lot to a team and help them win a championship.”

Despite his enthusiasm, many critics have dismissed his aspirations as unrealistic, citing his long absence from the game. Notably, former NFL player Taylor Lewan also questioned Kaepernick’s ambitions.

Kaepernick became a controversial figure in 2016 after kneeling during the national anthem to protest racial injustice, which sparked widespread debate and led to allegations that he was blackballed by the NFL.

He became a free agent in 2017 and settled a collusion grievance with the league in 2019.
