Phil Robertson, the founder of Duck Commander and star of A&E’s “Duck Dynasty,” passed away at 79 after battling health issues, including Alzheimer’s disease.
His granddaughter Sadie Robertson, shared that one of the last things he said to her was, “Full strength ahead! Amen!” This reflected his unwavering faith and bold spirit.
His son Willie Robertson recounted Phil’s final words to him as, “You’re my brother,” emphasizing their bond as co-workers in faith.
Sadie shared heartfelt reflections on his legacy, expressing gratitude for the impact he had on millions of lives through his faith in Christ.
Sadie and her family plan to honor his memory, emphasizing his authenticity and dedication to sharing the Good News of Jesus.
Korie Robertson, Phil’s daughter-in-law, announced his passing and noted that the family will hold a private service, with plans for a public celebration of his life to follow.
Sadie wrote on Instagram: “As I was sitting with Papaw Phil today, I thought about this verse (2 Corinthians 5:17)… he has already experienced this on earth—going from dead to alive by the power of Christ!” The verse reads: “’Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.’”
She added: “It was his testimony that changed his life, our families life, and thousands of others. Now he is experiencing it in the fullness. Fully alive in Christ. The new has come.”

The show “Duck Dynasty,” which aired for 11 seasons, is set to be revived, focusing on Phil’s son Willie and the family.
