Tim Walz Hit With New Investigation Into Links to Communist China

via MSNBC

U.S. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has launched an investigation into Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s connections with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), suggesting that these ties are more significant and troubling than previously thought.

The inquiry follows reports detailing Walz’s history as a high school teacher who took students on trips funded by the Chinese government to promote cultural understanding.

Comer highlighted Walz’s involvement with a Chinese institution linked to the CCP, alongside activities that may foster anti-American sentiment.

“In a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray, Chairman Comer is now requesting information, documents, and communications related to the CCP-connected entities and officials Governor Walz has engaged and partnered with,” the statement reads.

The FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force is also exploring these travel sponsorships.

Additionally, investigations revealed that Walz has visited China over 30 times since 1989, during which he expressed admiration for the country, raising concerns about his relationships with organizations tied to the CCP.

“I was treated exceptionally well… They are such kind, generous, capable people. They just gave and gave and gave to me. Going there was one of the best things I’ve ever done,” Walz said.

Comer’s findings bring into question the appropriateness of Walz’s associations, especially in light of his role adjacent to Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Did the Harris campaign know about this? How can a guy visit China 30 times and pal around with [Chinese communists] and have Chinese money change hands and you say to yourself ‘I want that guy in the Situation Room with me,’” Fox News’ Jesse Watters joked.
