MTG Slams AOC In Chaotic Hearing: ‘You Don’t Have Enough Intelligence’

via CNN

Congresswomen Marjorie Taylor Greene and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez engaged in a heated back-and-forth during a House Oversight Committee hearing.

It began when Greene mocked another congresswoman about her appearance, prompting AOC to demand an apology.

“Do you know what we’re here for?” Rep. Jasmine Crockett asked Greene.

Greene said, “I don’t think you know what you’re here for … I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading.”

Greene refused to apologize, saying her remarks should be stricken from the record but not apologized for.

Greene and AOC then traded insults, with Greene telling AOC “you don’t have enough intelligence” and AOC calling Greene a “baby girl.”

“That is absolutely unacceptable. How dare you attack the physical appearance of another person,” AOC said.

“Are your feelings hurt?” Greene said.

Ocasio-Cortez said, “Oh, girl. Baby girl. Don’t even play.”

“Baby girl? I don’t think so,” Greene said.

AOC has previously criticized Greene’s history of making tropes and has challenged her to a policy debate in the past, which Greene says AOC has avoided.

“I’m not apologizing,” Greene said. “Why don’t you debate me?”

“I think it’s pretty self-evident,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“Yeah, you don’t have enough intelligence,” Greene said.

“Don’t tell me that this is about condemnation of anti-semitic remarks when you have a member of the Republican caucus who talked about Jewish space lasers, and an entire amount of tropes, and also elevated her to some of the highest committee assignments in this body,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“I have repeatedly asked you to debate me, but you have been a coward and can’t even respond. But you go on CNN and lie about me. When are you going to be an adult and actually debate me on policy instead of run your mouth like a teenage girl?” Greene wrote on X previously.
