Former Fox Sports and ESPN broadcaster Julie Stewart-Binks has revealed that a recent cancer diagnosis prompted her unexpected absence from television.
The 39-year-old Canadian sports journalist shared the news on social media, explaining that she underwent surgery after doctors discovered squamous cell carcinoma on her nose.

Stewart-Binks said she had been away from work for approximately two weeks while receiving treatment and recovering from the procedure.
“Personal note: I haven’t been on TV or working the past two weeks because I had Moh’s surgery to remove squamous cell carcinoma from my nose,” she wrote on X.

The broadcaster explained that the condition initially appeared to be a minor skin problem, giving her little reason to suspect something more serious.
“I thought it was a pimple that wouldn’t go away, turns out it was cancer.”
