Spencer Pratt Mocks Hasan Piker’s Meltdown After Hong’s Shocking Defeat

Reality television personality Spencer Pratt publicly mocked left-wing streamer Hasan Piker following Piker’s strong reaction to an unexpected Democratic primary result in Wisconsin. Progressive candidate Francesca Hong, who had led some polls by more than 20 points weeks earlier, lost the race for the party’s gubernatorial nomination.

Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley narrowly prevailed despite having previously stepped away from the contest and without the endorsement of outgoing Governor Tony Evers. Crowley will now face Republican nominee Tom Tiffany in the general election.

Piker attributed the outcome in part to national media coverage. In comments that circulated widely, he said, “Wake up. Corporate media is f\*\*\*ing lying to you.” He compared the Wisconsin race to recent primary coverage in Michigan, claiming outlets repeatedly predicted defeat for another progressive candidate.

“That didn’t stop CNN, MS NOW, ABC, CBS from skipping a f\*\*\*ing beat every damn day of the week,” Piker continued. He suggested the Democratic Socialist movement would now keep “knives out” for establishment Democrats.

Pratt responded by targeting both Piker and the broader Democratic Socialists of America. “The DSA are freaking out that everyone is realizing Emperor Mao here has no clothes,” Pratt wrote, framing the primary loss as a clarifying moment for the progressive left.

Hong’s defeat represents a notable setback for the Democratic Socialist wing inside the party. Analysts noted the result arrived despite earlier polling momentum and significant online energy behind her campaign.

Piker’s comments and Pratt’s reply have fueled further online discussion about the strength of progressive candidates in statewide races and the role of media narratives. Neither Hong nor Crowley has issued extensive public responses to the commentary surrounding the primary.

The general election contest in Wisconsin now shifts focus to the matchup between Crowley and Tiffany.
