On ABC’s “The View” Tuesday, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) said the MAGA movement is a “divisive, hateful community” that has successfully given people a sense of belonging amid feelings of powerlessness, loneliness, and economic disconnection.

Murphy argued Democrats must speak to these emotions by focusing on rebuilding the common good, “unrigging” the economy and democracy, and exposing Trump as a “fake populist” to win back his supporters.
