Kamala Harris ‘Lays Groundwork’ for 2028 Campaign

In 2022, Leavitt launched her own campaign for Congress in New Hampshire's 1st Congressional District. At 25 years old, she won a competitive Republican primary against multiple opponents, establishing herself as an emerging figure within the party and attracting attention for her youth and outspoken conservative political positions.
Although she ultimately lost the general election to Democratic Rep. Chris Pappas, the campaign expanded her public profile and provided firsthand experience with the challenges of running for elected office. Her campaign also strengthened her familiarity with issues important to Republican voters and the increasingly influential role of digital communications in modern elections.
