Democrat Senator’s Crude Trump Attack Backfires Fast

Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff of Georgia drew sharp criticism after targeting Natalie Harp, a close Trump executive assistant, with a crude insinuation during a Sunday campaign rally in Atlanta.

Ossoff accused the president of prioritizing personal preferences over duty, stating, “While the sailors on the Lincoln fight his war, while he fruitlessly drains our munitions and oil reserves, the president sleeps through his meetings, he golfs, and trades stocks… He doesn’t want to do the job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar.”

The remarks, which reduced Harp to a prop and suggested an improper relationship without evidence, drew cheers from the Democratic crowd but immediate pushback online and from the White House.

Trump responded the next day in the Oval Office by comparing Ossoff to Pee-wee Herman and defending the White House project as “much more than a ballroom.” White House communications director Steven Cheung called Ossoff a “cuck loser” who should “look deep into his soul.” Spokesman Davis Ingle described him as a “cringeworthy, feminine theatre kid cosplaying as Barack Obama” and a “lightweight loser.”

Harp has become one of Trump’s most visible aides, frequently seen traveling with him and providing printed materials. She was among a small group who switched aircraft with the president during a recent NATO-related stop after reports of a possible Iranian threat. Ossoff’s decision to invoke her by first name at a campaign event in a competitive race against Republican Rep. Mike Collins, who is endorsed by Trump, has now become a flashpoint. A June Fox News poll had shown Ossoff leading, but the personal nature of the attack has given conservatives fresh ammunition heading into the final stretch of the campaign.
