Fox News Reveals Maria Bartiromo’s Replacement After Sudden Departure

Fox Business has revealed the program that will replace Maria Bartiromo’s longtime morning show as the network reshapes its weekday lineup. Beginning Oct. 12, “Mornings with Maria” will be replaced by a new three-hour program called “Big Money in the Morning.” The show will air weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET. Dagen McDowell, Brian Brenberg, Taylor Riggs and Josh Schafer will serve as hosts of the new morning program.
The show expands Fox Business’ existing “Big Money” brand while moving several familiar network personalities into new time slots. McDowell and Brenberg will leave their evening roles on “The Bottom Line” as part of the change.

Their former 6 p.m. ET slot will instead feature a rebroadcast of “Kudlow,” which airs live earlier in the afternoon. McDowell, Brenberg and Riggs are also departing “The Big Money Show,” which currently airs from noon to 2 p.m. ET. Jackie DeAngelis will remain with that program, while Cheryl Casone, Marcus Lemonis and Lou Basenese will rotate in as co-hosts.
Fox Business is making additional changes elsewhere in its schedule. Liz Claman will host a new Friday program called “Claman’s Power Players,” airing from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. ET.
According to the network, the program will feature “industry titans, business leaders and creators on what will move Wall Street and Main Street in the week ahead.” The scheduling changes come roughly a month after Fox News Media announced Bartiromo’s departure following more than 12 years with the company.
Bartiromo had hosted “Mornings with Maria” and “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street” on Fox Business while also anchoring “Sunday Morning Futures” on Fox News. Fox News said in September that its relationship with Bartiromo was ending immediately.
“We thank Maria for her work over the last 12½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter,” the network said. Fox did not publicly provide a detailed explanation for the departure.
Bartiromo had not appeared on her programs since Aug. 9 before the announcement was made. Her attorney has disputed reports that she was fired.
Reports have also circulated about the circumstances surrounding her exit, including claims that it followed an incident involving information allegedly leaked to the White House. Bartiromo herself has largely remained quiet about the situation.
In social media posts following her departure, she thanked supporters “for the outpouring of love.”
Her departure also prompted speculation about whether she could take a role in the Trump administration.
Vice President JD Vance publicly dismissed speculation that Bartiromo could become the next White House press secretary.
For the immediate future, Larry Kudlow is hosting “Sunday Morning Futures” through Nov. 8.
Fox News has said a permanent replacement for that Sunday program will be announced after the midterm elections.
Bartiromo joined Fox Business in 2014 after spending approximately two decades at CNBC.
She became one of the best-known financial journalists on television and was the first woman to report regularly from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.
The launch of “Big Money in the Morning” now marks one of Fox Business’ most significant programming changes following Bartiromo’s departure.
