Stewart-Binks subsequently shared positive news about her treatment, revealing that surgeons had successfully removed the cancerous cells.

“The cool part about this,” she began. “Is not only did they remove all the cancerous cells, but they grafted part of my ear onto my nose.”

Despite the seriousness of the diagnosis, Stewart-Binks maintained her sense of humor while discussing the reconstructive procedure.

“I’ve played hockey my entire life, but never felt more like a hockey player than I do now. Sew me up and put me in coach.”
