WASHINGTON — The U.S. Defense Department on May 22, 2026, released a second batch of 222 previously classified files on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), following President Trump’s directive.

The documents include reports of unexplained green orbs, discs, and fireballs.

One 116-page file details 209 sightings near a top-secret military facility in Sandia, New Mexico, between 1948 and 1950.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated the releases aim to increase transparency, saying it’s “time the American people see it for themselves.”

The first batch was released on May 8.
