Trump Breaks Silence on Fox News

Former President Donald Trump has been critical of Fox News in recent years.

The network notoriously parted ways with Tucker Carlson, who is the leading voice in conservative media as well as the highest-rated cable news host in U.S. history.

CEO Rupert Murdoch recently stepped down at Fox News at age 92, handing responsibilities to his son, Lachlan. (Trending: Unearthed Clip Shows Joe and Hunter Discussing Business)

Trump responded to Murdoch stepping down by saying, “Many people are saying that, ‘You forced Rupert Murdoch into retirement!’”

“I do not believe this is so, but while we’re at it, how about getting rid of ‘Democrat’ Mitch McConnell, who gives the Radical Left Lunatics, together with his small band of automatic ‘yes’ votes, EVERYTHING they want. There is ZERO Republican Leadership in the United States Senate. MAGA!!!”

Trump says that he wishes Murdoch luck. It appears that Murdoch isn’t a Trump supporter, according to The Guardian.

Murdoch is quoted in a book titled, “The Fall: The End of Fox News and the Murdoch Dynasty,” in which he says, “How could [Trump] still be alive, how could he?”

Trump responded to Murdoch’s hostility toward him by saying, “They pick their opponents — perhaps it’s the globalists — who knows why? There’s an overhang that you just feel, there’s something missing.” (Trending: Biden Family Is Officially In Panic Mode)

Murdoch noted that he’s in good health as he transitions to his role as “Chairman Emeritus.”

“I am writing to let you all know that I have decided to transition to the role of Chairman Emeritus at Fox and News,” Murdoch wrote in a letter about his decision. (Trending: Trump Gets Big Win in Georgia Court)

“For my entire professional life, I have been engaged daily with news and ideas, and that will not change. But the time is right for me to take on different roles, knowing that we have truly talented teams and a passionate, principled leader in Lachlan who will become sole Chairman of both companies.”

“Neither excessive pride nor false humility are admirable qualities. But I am truly proud of what we have achieved collectively through the decades, and I owe much to my colleagues, whose contributions to our success have sometimes been unseen outside the company but are deeply appreciated by me,” he continued.

Murdoch took control of News Limited in the 1950s. The 20-year-old went on to buy and create Australian newspapers and eventually gained control of the United Kingdom’s News of the World and The Sun in 1969.

Murdoch purchased several U.S. publications, including the New York Post and The Village Voice. (Trending: AOC Dealt A Heavy Dose of Reality)

News Corporation was established in 1980 to consolidate international operations. The FOX Broadcasting company was launched in 1986.
