AOC Dealt Massive Dose of Reality by New Yorkers

AOC via NBC News

Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York attempted to speak out in support of illegal immigrants flooding the city, but she was drowned out by protesters.

“Close the border! Close the border! Respect the constitution, AOC! I am your constituent!” one man shouted into a megaphone.

Protesters carried signs that read: “Americans first: Vetted & legal migrants only.”

New York Democrats likely didn’t expect so many protesters who opposed their left-wing agenda for the country.

This included Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Jerry Nadler, Rep. Adriano Espaillat, and a group of other elected officials from states including Illinois, California, and Texas.

Using taxpayer dollars, migrants have been housed at the Roosevelt Hotel where they are fed, vaccinated, and receive other services.

At the press conference, AOC said, “What we seek to do is to make sure that all the resources are necessary and that we are joining with the city and state.”

“I think that there are three points of consensus here that are very important in getting a solution to that issue,” AOC continued.

“The first is that there is consensus here across geographies and state on increased federal resources to cities and municipalities dealing with this issue.”
