Vice President Kamala Harris’ time in office has been plagued by incompetence, low approval ratings, and damaging accusations from former staffers.

CNN interviewed nearly three dozen current and former staffers for Harris, administration officials, donors, advisers, and Democratic Party operatives. One former staffer described Harris as “toxic” who treated her team “like s***.”

Another former staffer described Harris as a “bully” with a “soul-destroying” management style, according to Politico and CNN. In June 2023, an NBC News poll found Harris has received the lowest approval rating for any vice president in U.S. history. The poll surveyed 1,000 registered voters. Despite these serious accusations, the mainstream media continues to defend Harris as often as possible. Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union,” political commentator Ashley Allison made a bizarre argument that Harris’ terrible approval rating is driven by the fact that she is a “Black woman” and a “history maker.”

Allison, who worked on the Biden-Harris campaign as a senior staffer, said race and gender are to blame for Harris’ unpopularity and lack of accomplishments.

“I think this is happening for a couple of reasons,” Allison began. “Most people don’t know what vice presidents do. And now she is a history maker. She is a woman, she is a Black woman, and it’s the easy thing to do to say she’s the attack dog, go after her.” (Trending: Biden Family Operated Like Organized Crime)

“She was not put in charge of the border,” Allison argued despite the fact Biden appointed Harris to oversee the crisis. “She was put in charge of the root causes and going down to Central and South America to discuss what is happening. And everyone admits our immigration policies are in crisis.”

“It’s not because of Kamala Harris,” Allison continued. “It’s because we have not been able to find bipartisan reform.”

“We all know the election systems are broke. We have a former president who won’t even acknowledge that he lost the election. That’s not because of Kamala Harris,” Allison added.

In June, a Fox News poll showed 56% of voters disapprove of Harris’ job performance.

Only 32% of registered voters have a positive view of Harris, according to NBC’s June poll.
