Iconic Actress Ellen Barkin Suffers Anti-ICE Meltdown

Actress Ellen Barkin posted “Burn ICE to the ground” on X after ICE agents shot Oscar Belgal, an illegal immigrant under investigation by DHS for gang activity, in New York City’s Bronx neighborhood.

Belgal attempted to ram agents with his vehicle, resulting in a non-life-threatening graze wound to his neck.

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani responded by calling for ICE to be abolished.

DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin condemned the mayor’s rhetoric as “dangerous” and said it would “incite hostility.”

Mullin stated that ICE would not pause enforcement and that sanctuary policies endanger public safety.

He noted that agents fired because they feared for their lives as Belgal used his car as a weapon while his child was in the vehicle.

DHS official Marcos Charles confirmed, “The officers, using their training and believing that their lives, the lives of their partners and the general public were in danger, fired their weapons.”

Barkin has previously claimed there is no difference between ICE officers and Nazis, called former DHS Secretary Kristi Noem a “c**t,” and alleged that assassination attempts on President Trump were faked.

The incident occurred amid ongoing debates over immigration enforcement in sanctuary jurisdictions.

Mullin emphasized that agents acted in self-defense when the suspect used a vehicle as a weapon.

The shooting prompted immediate political reactions from both the mayor and federal officials.

Barkin’s post added to a series of public statements she has made criticizing immigration enforcement agencies.
