Republican Loss: $167M Investment Fails to Dethrone Trump in Primary

via CNN

Republican presidential contenders spent over $167 million in unsuccessful attempts to defeat former President Donald Trump in New Hampshire and Iowa.

This substantial spending highlights the strength of Trump’s grassroots support nationwide, with Trump himself spending only $34.1 million in both states.

Concerns have been raised about the allocation of resources, as campaign officials worry about having to divert resources to counter Nikki Haley in South Carolina instead of focusing on politically vulnerable states.

The breakdown of ad spending for Republican primary candidates in New Hampshire and Iowa was also detailed, with Trump leading by a significant margin in every state after the New Hampshire primary.
