The South Carolina Senate is set to vote on whether the state will become the 28th constitutional carry state, with legislation known as House Bill 3594.
This bill, previously passed by the South Carolina House, is now before the Senate, and debate is expected to continue with a vote by February 1st.
If passed, South Carolina will join 27 other states with constitutional carry laws.
These laws allow individuals to carry firearms without a permit.
