Fact-Checking Trump: Rachel Maddow Interrupts Speech to Verify Claims in Real Time

via CBS

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow cut off Donald Trump’s victory speech twice after he falsely claimed to have won New Hampshire in the 2016 and 2020 elections.

Maddow called Trump’s comments “venom and falsehood-filled” and described his speech as “a form of reality bullying.”

She explained that Trump’s repeated lies were an attempt to bend reality to his will and force supporters to reject reality and endorse him.

“This is part of the issue here,” Maddow said, cutting in.

“We’ll try again, though,” she said before cutting in again.
