Child Sex Offenders, Murder Convict Captured Trying To Enter US Illegally

via Border Patrol

The southern U.S. border has seen an increase in illegal immigrant activity, resulting in significant arrests of child sex offenders and a convicted murderer attempting to cross into the country.

Border patrol agents in Texas and Arizona captured individuals with alarming felony convictions, including second-degree murder and endangering the welfare of a child.

The apprehensions occurred amidst a worsening crisis at the southern border, with over 302,000 migrant encounters in December and 2.4 million migrant encounters in fiscal year 2023.

“These subjects were caught trying to re-enter the U.S. illegally,” U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) Chief Jason Owens wrote.

“Agents being out on patrol is what stopped them from getting to your communities. #HonorFirst.”

“Both subjects have alarming felony convictions,” Border Patrol Chief John Modlin wrote.

“One for second-degree murder and attempted murder and the other for endangering the welfare of a child. Both face federal prosecution.”

Notably, Border Patrol arrested 19 individuals on the FBI terror watchlist in December.

A coalition of former FBI officials has warned about a “new and imminent danger” at the southern border, suggesting that the U.S. has been “invaded” by military-age foreign nationals.
