A Reuters/Ipsos poll revealed that Donald Trump leads President Joe Biden by six percentage points.
The poll of 1,250 U.S. adults showed Trump ahead with 40% to Biden’s 34%, with many expressing dissatisfaction with the election rematch.
Respondents also indicated weariness of the same candidates, with 67% wanting someone new.
“I hate to think that we’re constantly navigating the lesser of two evils,” voter Kimberly Sofge said.
“I honestly feel that we can do better.”
“The independents don’t really have a voice. Polarizing characters usually take the front seat, and it’s a little sad for our country,” voter Whitney Tallarico said. “I’ll probably go for a third party.”
The poll also highlighted concerns about the age of the candidates, with 70% agreeing that Biden is too old for the job.
Additionally, the survey showed that many voters are dissatisfied with the two-party system, and some are considering alternative options.
