Hundreds of individuals, including far-right extremists, former police officers, an Olympic gold medalist, and active U.S. Marines, have been convicted in the aftermath of the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

Over 1,230 people have been charged with federal crimes, with approximately 730 pleading guilty and 170 convicted.

The Supreme Court’s upcoming case on obstruction charges could impact over 300 defendants.

“We cannot replace votes and deliberation with violence and intimidation,” U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia Matthew Graves said.

Dozens of individuals involved in assaulting law enforcement remain unidentified, and some have fled.

The person responsible for placing pipe bombs before the riot remains unknown, with a reward of up to $500,000 for information.

“We urge anyone who may have previously hesitated to come forward or who may not have realized they had important information to contact us and share anything relevant,” said David Sundberg of the FBI Washington Field Office.
