Billionaire Says Harvard, Penn And MIT Presidents ‘Must All Resign In Disgrace’

via CNBC

Hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman has called for the resignation of Harvard, MIT, and University of Pennsylvania presidents, criticizing their testimony at a House hearing on antisemitism.

He expressed disgust at their refusal to give clear answers on whether calling for the genocide of Jews violates their schools’ code of conduct.

Ackman condemned their responses and accused them of moral bankruptcy. (Trending: Biden Impeachment Vote Comes To House Floor)

“Throughout the hearing, the three behaved like hostile witnesses,” Ackman wrote in a post on X.

“Exhibiting a profound disdain for the Congress with their smiles and smirks, and their outright refusal to answer basic questions with a yes or no answer.”

“They must all resign in disgrace. If a CEO of one of our companies gave a similar answer, he or she would be toast within the hour,” wrote Ackman.

“The answers they gave reflect the profound moral bankruptcy of Presidents Gay, Magill and Kornbluth,” he continued.

Ackman took particular issue with Penn President Liz Magill saying, “It is a context dependent decision,” when asked if calling for the genocide of Jews violated the school’s conduct policies.

“Why has antisemitism exploded on campus and around the world? Because of leaders like Presidents Gay, Magill and Kornbluth who believe genocide depends on the context,” charged Ackman.

Ackman chose to have a public feud with Harvard over rising antisemitism but has shown leniency towards Elon Musk’s comments about Israel.
