A boat carrying around 25 illegal migrants landed in the upscale area of Malibu, California, prompting an investigation by Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The boat, suspected to be used by human and drug smugglers, was found abandoned off the coast.

“The U.S. Coast Guard got a call around 7:30 a.m. regarding the 25-foot-long vessel, which is often a type of boat used by human and drug smugglers,” the report found.
