Alleged Hate Crime Victim in Texas Charged with Burning Down His Own House

via ABC

Mario Roberson, a Texas man who claimed his house was vandalized with racist graffiti, is now facing charges of burning down his own home.

Two men died in the fire, and another person was seriously injured.

The San Jacinto County grand jury indicted Roberson for felony arson, following an investigation into the fire. (Trending: Chilling Surveillance Program Under Biden Exposed)

“We can’t do anything until we have a warrant for his arrest,” San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers said.

“The best thing Roberson can do would be to turn himself in.”

Roberson had previously alleged racist graffiti on his property and blamed the Waterwood Property Owners Association for the attack.

“Racism, power, hungriness, money has gotten us to this place,” Roberson said after the fire.

Roberson alleged that “We don’t like your kind,” was written on his home.

“The neighbors called me. I kept hearing the phone ring. She said, ‘Mario, your house is on fire.’ I thought she was playing. She said, ‘Your truck.’ I come over here, and I didn’t expect to see this… Matter of fact, when this went down, I know y’all heard about this racist stuff that was sprayed on my door,” Roberson said.

If convicted, he could face a sentence of five to 99 years in prison.
