Only a small percentage of Americans have received the latest COVID-19 vaccine, with 7.1% of adults and 2.1% of children being vaccinated.
A survey conducted in October revealed that 37.6% of adults and 40% of parents do not plan to get vaccinated.

The belief that the vaccine prevents transmission has been debunked, leading to a decrease in vaccination rates.
Some individuals, including media personalities Dan Bongino and Megyn Kelly, have expressed regret for getting vaccinated due to experiencing breakthrough COVID cases and other health issues.
“A whopping 37.6 percent of adults said they probably or definitely will not get vaccinated,’ the report added.

“I should have waited. It’s one of the greatest regrets of my life,” he said in August 2022. “I freaked out.” Bongino said he ended up getting COVID twice despite getting vaccinated twice.

Podcaster Megyn Kelly said, “I’m sorry I did to myself. I regret getting the vaccine. I don’t think I needed it. I think I would have been fine.”
“For the first time, I tested positive for an autoimmune issue at my annual physical,” she said on her show. “And I went to the best rheumatologist in New York and I asked her, ‘Do you think this could have to do with the fact that I got the damn booster and then got COVID within three weeks?’”
Despite this, the CDC continues to recommend the vaccine for everyone.
The pandemic response has highlighted the importance of protecting civil liberties and avoiding strict mandates.
