A New York family has been busted in the operation of a sex trafficking ring, allegedly having exploited young Mexican girls for the past 20 years.
Following a month-long jury trial, Luz Elvira Cardona, her boyfriend Jose Facundo Zarate Morales, Cardona’s mother Blanca Hernandez Morales, and Morales’ boyfriend Roberto Cesar Cid Dominguez have all been found guilty.
Cardona allegedly sold her 15-year-old niece’s virginity after bringing her to New York from Mexico in 2007, and continued to force the teen to engage in sexual intercourse with men day-after day.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) defines sex trafficking as “a type of human trafficking and is a form of modern-day slavery,”
“Dominguez also allegedly bribed Village of Brewster Police Officer Wayne Peiffer with free sexual services in exchange for his efforts to shield the organization from arrests, according to prosecutors,” the New York Post reported.
