Anheuser-Busch, the company behind Bud Light, offered distributors $150 million in “incentive payments” to help them recover from the drop in sales caused by a failed ad campaign featuring transgender TikTok personality Dylan Mulvaney.
Bud Light sales plummeted after the campaign, leading to calls for a boycott on social media.

The brand has lost more than 20% of its customers since April.
“I imagine for those that are having some cash flow concerns, this would help somewhat,” one distributor said.
“There were no further details about the ‘market share recovery incentives,’ but the timing is significant as most retailers revamp their shelf space in the spring when they look at the last 12 months of sales and determine which products are hot and deserve more space — and which will lose space,” the Post reported.

“BudLight is begging distributors to start selling the brands beer again, offering $150 million in incentives after the Dylan Mulvaney partnership cost the beer maker billions,” the report found.
“The money will include reimbursements to distributors for freight and fuel charges, market share recovery initiatives including adding additional shelf space to stock the products in stores and sale incentive payments,’ the report added.
