Democrats Looking For A Savior: Could Pete Buttigieg Be President?

via CNN

Joe Biden currently faces very low approval numbers as well as an impeachment inquiry over his alleged involvement in an international bribery scheme.

Simultaneously, Hunter Biden faces three federal criminal charges and up to 25 years in prison.

At 80, Biden holds the record for the oldest-serving president in U.S. history. Should he win a second term in 2024, he would be 82 at the start of it and 86 at the end. (Trending: Biden Official Caught Working For Terrorists)

Making matters worse, Kamala Harris is the least popular vice president in US history. Poles overwhelmingly show she doesn’t have enough support to win the White House.

There is widespread speculation that the Democrat Party is in desperate need of a savior heading into the 2024 presidential election cycle. Some political commentators have suggested Pete Buttigieg may be the person they’re looking for.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has held high popularity with Democratic voters, and many believe he will be a top candidate in the 2028 run for president.

An early 2023 poll revealed Buttigieg having gained more support than President Joe Biden, particularly with New Hampshire voters. (Trending: Joe Biden Does the Unthinkable For Hamas)

The Granite State poll showed the transportation secretary at a 20 point lead over the President.

Republicans have criticized the openly gay presidential candidate of 2020, saying he is merely a diversity token chosen due to his sexual identity.

“I think Buttigieg is a perfect example of the danger of setting up some kind of program that says we don’t care how competent you are. We care whether or not you fit some box we’ve created,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said of Buttigieg.

“He happened to be, I think, perfect for the Biden administration because he was the kind of person who represented, for the gay community, a unique appointment. The problem was he’s incompetent. It’s not a question about his sexual orientation. It’s a question about competence,” he added.

Senator Mitt Romney also came after Buttigieg, saying, “He’s not ready for the responsibility he has.”

“He was a fine mayor, from what I understand, but the position he’s got really would be better served by a person who’s managed a large enterprise, a state, or something of the scale he’s now dealing with.”

Despite the criticisms, he has continually showed strong approval among Democrats, and many see him as a promising future candidate.
