A 16-year-old cross-country runner named Angel Hernandez collapsed and died shortly after finishing a race at a track meet in Fort Worth, Texas.

Witnesses say his friends tried to help him, but he collapsed again and was taken to the hospital where he passed away.

Hernandez was described as hardworking, caring, and dedicated to his teammates and schoolwork. (Trending: Biden Official Caught Working For Terrorists)

“He worked hard and cared about his teammates,” said Brent Brevard, who coached Hernandez at Chisholm Trail until last year.

“But then he also acted right in school and took care of his grades.”

“He made you love him with his personality,” Hernandez’s karate coach, Ashley Wood, told KHOU. “He had an infectious smile. The moment of silence it helps us know that he was loved by everyone.” (Trending: Joe Biden Does the Unthinkable For Hamas)

“It’s really hard. We’ll never get over it. We’ll never forget him. He’s going to be missed here, but he’s going to be loved always,” Wood added.

He was also involved in martial arts.

The cause of his death is unknown, and his family has set up a GoFundMe page to cover funeral expenses.
