The UN Is Denying Israel’s Right to Defend Itself

via PBS.

The United Nations (UN) is accused of denying Israel’s right to self-defense in the aftermath of a brutal Palestinian terror attack.

Palestinian Hamas terrorists killed over 1,300 innocent civilians, including 30 Americans. An estimated 150 people were taken hostage, including possibly 13 Americans who remain missing.

IDF Lieutenant Colonel Richard Hecht said the Hamas music festival massacre “is the largest number of Jews killed in one day since the Holocaust.” (Trending: Major Women’s Race Won By Two Men)

For its part, the UN is sending significant aid and financial support to Gaza, which critics say ends up in the hands of Hamas.

Human rights expert Anne Bayefsky noted that the UN’s stance against Israel happened before Israel took action in response to Hamas in Gaza.

According to Bayefsky, the leadership at the UN failed to acknowledge or support Israel’s right to self-defense.

This includes the Security Council, General Assembly, Human Rights Council, Secretary-General, and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. (Trending: Ilhan Omar Caught In Major Lie)

She asserts that UN officials quickly condemned Israel while downplaying the actions of its rivals, characterizing the UN as morally compromised and serving as an instrument of modern antisemitism.

Israel has targeted known Hamas locations with its airstrikes and missiles.

In Gaza, the death toll climbed to 2,329 Palestinians killed and 9,714 wounded, according to Reuters. In the West Bank, 54 were recorded dead and 1,100 wounded since the conflict between Hamas and Israel started on Oct. 7.

Palestinian Hamas terrorist notoriously used their own people as human shields, including women and children. The terror group also kills Palestinians who attempt to flee.

This makes it incredibly difficult for Israel to defend itself while avoiding innocent casualties.

Israel has repeatedly warned innocent civilians, as well as women and children, to evacuate the northern part of the Gaza Strip. (Trending: Disturbing Flag Found Near Massacre in Israel)

The Israeli military is preparing tens of thousands of soldiers to capture Gaza City and destroy Hamas’ current leadership.

Three senior Israeli military officers outlined the unclassified details about the counterattack. IDF says its main goal is to destroy the top political and military hierarchy of Hamas.

The assault is expected to be Israel’s “biggest ground operation since it invaded Lebanon in 2006.”

This also the first time that Israel has attempted to capture land and at least briefly hold onto it since its invasion of Gaza in 2008.
