The New York Times came under fire after changing “Hamas terrorists” in a article to “Hamas gunmen,” ultimately revising it yet again to read “Hamas terrorists.”
Hamas is a recognized as a terrorist organization by the United States government.
The Times originally wrote, “As Israeli soldiers regain control of areas near Gaza that came under attack, they are finding evidence seen in videos and photos and confirmed by witness accounts of the massacre of civilians by Hamas terrorists.”

They then proceeded to revise the sentence to, “As Israeli soldiers regain control of areas near Gaza that came under attack, they are finding evidence seen in videos and photos and confirmed by witness accounts of the massacre of civilians by Hamas gunmen.”
Just yesterday, they reversed it yet again, changing “Hamas gunmen” to “Hamas terrorists,” after receiving extended backlash online.
The left-wing news outlet is accused of promoting a biased political agenda that supports the goals of pro-Palestinian activists.
