Following an unexpected attack from Hamas, Israel has officially declared war and begun airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.
Hamas recently came through the border with roughly 1,000 fighters and began the onslaught of hundreds of civilians, some of which were attending a music festival.
Israel was quick to retaliate, sending major airstrikes that leveled a building serving as Hamas’ offices. Over 400 were killed in Gaza as a result of the strikes. (Trending: 20th Busload of Illegals Arrives In Democrat City)
Palestinians have been seen celebrating the massive terror attack on Israel that killed over 800 innocent civilians, including nine Americans.
Over 150 others were taken as hostages.
Radical Islamic terrorists arrived in vans and shot at least 260 people attending a music festival in Israel. Israel was hit in several locations by more than 2,000 rockets.
Here are five things to take note of in light of the conflict:
• In the past, Israel has made various military strikes in both Gaza and Lebanon, but has not officially declared war.
The fact that Israel has now declared war will ultimately allow them to take “significant military steps” against the Hamas terrorists.
• Israel’s military reported that it successfully targeted over 800 locations in various airstrikes, destroying most of the town of Beit Hanoun.
• Beit Hanoun has been utilized for an extended period time as a base camp for Hamas fighters, according to Israeli Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari. (Trending: Democrats Prioritize Illegals Over U.S. Military Veterans)
• The head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad told Israel that they would refuse the release of over 30 Israelis and many more captives in Gaza until every Palestinian behind bars in Israel has been released.
• Additionally, after reports confirmed the death of at least four Americans following Hamas’ attacks, the U.S. will be sending its Ford carrier strike group to the Mediterranean in defense of Israel.
The strike group includes an aircraft carrier, a guided missile cruiser, and at least four guided missile destroyers.
