The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is becoming increasingly serious, as the Israeli Security cabinet has officially declared war, and just released a death toll of nearly 1,000 people.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that the U.S. government is currently attempting to investigate the accuracy of reports they have received regarding American deaths and hostages.

NEW: American citizens have been taken as hostages by Hamas according to Israel Minister for Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer.

Israel has received major rocket fire, most of which has been hitting southern Israel in cities such as Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
Mohammed Shtayyeh, Palestinian Prime Minister, has said Israel started the conflict after “creating a climate of hatred, violence, incitement, and violating international law.”
